This was absolutely gorgeous. Fell into the same trap as others seem to have in thinking that the Sainsbury's and Tesco ones that are £9 are the same duck so a better price, but they are smaller. The one I bought from Sainsbury's only weighed 1.75kg so wasn't enough for everyone. The Ocado one was only just under 2kg and fed all 5 of us nicely.
Bought two because of a flash sale. What a bargain. Slow roasted for a few hours with 5 spices blend and ate in wraps with julienne vegetables. Everyone was happy. Will buy again. We actually had to freeze the second one because one was enough for 5 of us
I bought one of these ducks at Christmas and it was fine. The duck I have just purchased smelt disgusting. I was having guests for dinner so had to cook it as all my other meats were in the freezer. I decided to try it before serving and it tasted ok so I served it up hoping none of us would be ill.We all survived but I will never buy duck from Ocado again.
On offer at Asda £7.50 When not on offer still only £9 Tesco £9 SAME PRODUCT.
Plump and juicy
Cooked this on Xmas day exactly as the instructions said and added a couple of additional duck breasts to amply feed 4. It was delicious.
disappointed ruined dinner
Very little meat on this duck barely fed four people so ruined New Years Day dinner
