Gunderloch

The wine is named after a character in Carl Zuckmayer’s “The Merry Vineyard”, a theater play from the 1920s: "Jean Baptiste Gunderloch" the owner of the Gunderloch winery.

Riesling

Greater specialization in steep sites than any other estate on the Roter Hang, or in
Rheinhessen generally. Starting at the Estate level almost all Riesling
grapes are coming from classified premiere and grand- cru vineyardsites.

Typical fruity characteristics of yellow flesh stone fruits and long mineral finish of the “Red Slate” vineyards.
