Gallo

2022

2023 was a unique year for winegrowing from start to finish. Due to above average rainfall in the winter months and an unusually cool spring, we saw an extended bloom and heavy fruit set. Winds during bloom produced some shatter but did not turn the tide on the massive crop. The cool spring was followed by a cool summer, delaying ripening for red and white varieties. Overall, the slow and steady growing season provided excellent quality.

This Chardonnay offers aromas of citrus, banana, lemongrass and features tropical fruit notes with hints of baked apples and toffee

This wine pairs beautifully with sautéed scallops, creamy pasta dishes and fresh salads

The juice was fermented at 14-17°C on oak with carefully selected aromatic yeast to create intense aromas and flavours. Post-fermentation the wine was stored on oak in stainless steel tanks to preserve brightness and balance.
