Our game is sourced from good local estates through the south of England, including Leconfield Estate, Petworth, West Sussex and Highclere Estate in Hampshire. All of our game is refrigerated as soon as possible on the estates and transferred to our factory in Andover without delay.
All of our game is free to roam over the countryside ensuring a wide and varied diet. This gives the meat its wonderful gamey flavour. The highest standards are employed to allow a sustainable environment for all the wild game to flourish. These practices also create the perfect habitat for our song birds and wildlife to thrive.

this is lovely venison, terrifically tasty and when cooked correctly, absolutely delicious. it's important when cooking venison to understand that it's not just like beef and should be approached differently. the resting time is all important. we love this cut because it is quick and easy, super tasty, very filling and extremely low in fat. the sizes and shapes of each cut can be somewhat different from pack to pack and I think they could improve the consistency of size. but that said, if you're a decent cook, you adjust your timings according to the meat in front of you. we love this, and eat it regularly.
They aren't really minute steaks, and as others say you might want to cut them into strips and flash fry, but the taste and flavour is good, and it feels like a more ethical choice than farmed beef or lamb, as well as a lower-fat alternative.
the pack says steaks, but there is only one. It was very oddly shaped, like a dumbbell: a lump at each end connected by a strip. Not very clever butchery.
More sinew than flesh.
I wish I had read the reviews! My piece came labelled as minute steak and was covered almost entirely in inedible silvery sinew! Goodness knows what will be left after I remove it before cooking.
not thin cut
3 lumps of meat 1 inch thick held together by a lot of sinew, 125g piece ended up as 80g by the time Id cut the unuseable bits out. This is the third pack Ive bought and the first two were okay, not sure whether Ill bother buying again.
Was fairly lovely when we ordered it first time but next couple of times it was pretty rubbish. Won't be risking anymore.
