Product information

In the Extremadura region in South West Spain, the Marques de Valdueza and his son have planted four traditional Spanish olive varieties. Each olive variety is harvested separately and blended to produce this award winning oil. With flavours of apples and light citrus aromas this gently nutty oil is well balanced with great depth and a gentle peppery finish.

Lovely!

I am reviewing this item because I received a free sample from Ocado. Lovely olive oil, good quality and excellent taste, just a tad expensive!

exceptionally fine

I have a cupboard full of olive oils from across the world as I believe it has great health benefits. This olive oil is from south west Spain. It has a fruity yet nutty flavour. It tastes really nice and not bitter. I use it for cooking as well as on salads or mixed with balsamic vinegar and then dip crusty sourdough bread. I gave it four stars due to the price as I felt it was a little bit expensive.

Really fruity

Fantastic, you can smell and taste the difference to cheaper oil. Is it worth the price... unsure

TASTY

I. and three other people, compared this oil with a kalamata oil. It had a more interesting and complex flavour than the kalamata. It actually had quite a lot of flavour, rather than just oiliness. A couple of people preferred the kalamata on a blind taste test. A couple of us thought the Harvey Nichols oil would be a great oil for dipping, where the flavour would be a great asset. It had a lighter feel in the mouth than the kalamata. There was no bitter harshness to this oil, as you can get with cheaper oils. Overall, very tasty, but also very expensive. It's probably also very good for adding flavour to salads, which is probably how I will use it. I was sent this to review and I think it's tasty
