Product information

HAWKSMOOR 35 Day Dry-Aged British T-Bone Steak (sharing steak, serves 2)

T-Bone: Flavoursome sirloin and a small nugget of tender fillet separated by a T-shaped bone.
We recommend: Medium rare

If the weather allows, grill on the barbecue over white hot coals. If not, use a cast-iron griddle or heavy-gauge frying pan and get very hot (if using a frying pan add a nugget of beef dripping).

Season generously with Maldon sea salt just before cooking and turn regularly until it’s an even dark golden brown (don’t forget to sear the edges and any fatty bits).

If using a pan, after searing transfer to a hot oven (200C; 180C fan) for 18-25 minutes (for Medium), turning the steak halfway through cooking. Use a temperature probe to hit your desired cuisson (guideline temperatures included on packaging).

For Prime Rib we recommend Medium so there’s time for the fibers to loosen and the fat to break down and baste the meat. And don’t forget to give it a good rest (10-15 minutes).

Nice T\-Bone!

Good steak with good amount of fat, full of flavour, cooks really well, thickness good but lost a star for price. If on offer and after a butchers quality steak, worth it.

The Best!

Nothing wrong with this product. One of the best steaks I have ever tasted. Good ratio to fillet and sirloin and was absolutely delicious. Thick enough to be able to get a really good sear without overcooking. We had it rare. Seared on fat side, and a nice lot of fat was then able to be used for searing the steaks each side. Only seasoning was a good amount of fleur de sel (camargue) sold on Ocado. Fabulous salt. You dont need anything else with this meat, the flavour is fantastic dont dilute it with extra flavours.

Mainly bone,gristle and fat.

Excessive amount of fat, The fat is a strange colour. The bone and fat are somehow thicker than the steak. No usesable fillet only a grape sized bit of gristle and fat. Not a classic T bone. I buy dry aged meat iat another stores meat counter and this looks nothing like it. Pools of blood which should not be there, looks wet cured in the sealed bag.

I love it!

It has a lot of aroma and meat is very soft. Strongly recommend. Porterhouse has more fillet, so feels more luxury. but this is a good deal for the quality!

T-Bone? no fillet!

Really disappointed that these are advertised as T-bones, we bought on the flash offer and not one of them had any fillet! Wont be ordering again.
