Chewy - not the best bits

These were small and chewy and so much water came out, the flavour is mild. It was a flash sale but I wouldnt even buy in flash sale again

package punctures

Strong fishy smell when opened and juice coming through package. Where wooden sticks are vacuumed down so didnt risk it.

Fish good, sauce tasteless.

The monkfish itself is lovely but the marinade was disappointing. I only really picked up the red peppers in it. Good in the flash sale for the fish hence the 4 stars but wouldn't pay £8 for it.

ok in flash sale

I got it half price in a flash sale. I wouldn't have paid £8. It was OK for £4 however this is definitely for one person as a main or 2 as a starter. The fish itself was good quality. Every now and again there would be an orange taste. I didn't taste harissa. Overall I found the taste a bit strange, it didn't really work. I had it with a salad. I may consider it again at £4 if it came up and try it with something else.

Lovely flavour

Im not a huge fan of monkfish, its expensive and easy to overcook. But if gently and quickly cooked these come out very good. Sauce is delicious, some spice and a lot of nuance in the harissa and orange flavour. Would give 5 stars except for the price.

Rather bland and boring

33% off when I purchased which is just as well as £8 would have made for an expensive meal. The portion is big enough for 2 people. I found it surprisingly bland although it did taste fresh.
