In the Scottish Shetland Islands, it was a common tradition to break a piece of shortbread over the head of a bride on the threshold of her new home for good luck. Another legend suggests fair fortune will find you when you savour the biscuit pieces atop our Billionaire's Shortbread with your eyes closed... time to find out.
Pistachios have long been favoured by royalty; the Queen of Sheba coveted them so much that she banned anyone but nobility from eating them... luckily for us, that's no longer the case. We've paired them with our mellow caramel-milk chocolate in our Pistachio praline so as not to overwhelm the delicate, earthy flavour.
Salted caramel originated in Brittany a region known for its butter and sea salt and we've perfected our Salted Caramel 40% recipe with sea salt from the French town just south of that region, Guérande. It's harvested by hand using traditional methods, by salt farmers known as paludiers.
