Invincible No 1 Douro White

Invincible is the result of one man's passion for the wild and rugged Douro Valley. Marc Kent is a famed South African winemaker famed for his range of wines from Franschhoek's Boekenhoutskloof winery including the iconic Chocolate Block. He first made wine in Portugal in 2017 and now lives there permanently having teamed up with local winemaker Rita Marques to create Invincible.

The grapes for this wine come from high altitude sites in the Douro Valley. The vineyards are over thirty years old and are planted with a so-called "field blend" - a mixture of grapes in the same plot. A field blend from 30+ year old vineyards. Rabigato, Arinto, Moscatel and Códega.

The wine has an aromatic nose with fresh apricot and citrus with a hint of rose petal. The palate is vibrant with crisp acidity balancing fresh peach and a mineral undertone backed up by subtle oak. The finish is long and dry.
