Tastiest Passata on Ocado

Yes, it’s expensive and yes it is a little thinner than other brands but boy does it make up for it in the flavour punch it packs. If you want to actually taste tomato rather than the acidic, chemically profiles of similar products, then this Passata is for you. Worth every penny!

quite thin

Very thin compared to other passatas but makes a good base for a pasta sauce. Quite expensive so would not purchase again unless on offer

I agree its thin but...

It really does make a lovely tasty pasta sauce. I left it to simmer for a while and it did thicken up. Far superior to a standard passata which can be very acidic and false in flavour (and trust me Ive had some of the best). I kept this very simple and authentic only adding some soffritto and herbs to my meatballs and it was absolutely delicious. The whole family preferred this to normal meatballs and sauce. Its expensive I agree and that puts me off because I dont understand why it has to be so expensive. However, I would buy it again.

Nice tasting Passata

I received this free to review. It has a nice taste but as others have noted it did seem a bit watery. I used it to make a pasta sauce which we all really enjoyed including my son who far prefers smooth sauces so this Passata was ideal as a base as it has no bits for him to complain about! I would buy this passata in future.

Pretty good passata

This was a bit more liquid than some other passatas I have had, but it has a good taste, and makes a nice pasta sauce. Good to see that it is all pure tomato, with no other added ingredients.

Disappointed

I received this free to review. We were very disappointed. The consistency was watery. There was no depth of flavour. I would not buy this again. We do enjoy their fresh tomatoes though.
