Surprisingly good
Was really skeptical but these were actually quite good. Found soaking for 10 mins, then spraying them with frylite oil and some salt/pepper or your favourite spices, then cooking in the oven to crisp a bit before adding to your chosen dish works surprisingly well.
OK but not for me
Easy to prepare but I didn't enjoy as the texture was quite spongy. Didn't seem to soak up the chilli & garlic sprays I used to cook it either so came out quite bland. Others may like it but just not to my taste.
Soak well
Found this product really useful to take on holiday. Soak overnight and drain and coat in pesto. Doesn’t have soy aftertaste that some have but would be good in a bigger bag for a family
Very Good
We received it as a free gift from Ocado. It’s easy to prepare and taste great. We have been buying it ever since.
great in a stew
Brought these on a recommendation to use in a slow cooker stew. I was a little sceptical (they dont look great before hydration) but it was delicious. Would highly recommend and popping some more in my basket right now
Tasty and easy
I received these as a freebie a few months ago and have been eating them off and on since then. If just for myself, I just put a handful in a small bowl and cover with water for five minutes, covering the bowl with a plate, then drain them and fry them for a few minutes. All very simple. I have enjoyed them with stir fries and have actually just had some for a solo lunch with Mutti tomato and basil sauce, mushrooms and spring onions - delicious! I like the texture and they have plenty of flavour, and have a long shelf life in the cupboard so are very convenient to have at hand. I wouldn't have thought of ordering these if I hadn't received the freebie, but I will be buying them now.
