£1.57 per 100gProduct information
In addition to being superb on a salad, one reason that mackerel fish remains so popular is down to its nutritional content: high in Vitamin D and Omega 3 alike. As well as selling traditional tinned mackerel in olive oil (ideal for cooking with), John West has perfected a range of sauces to go with delicious mackerel, jazzing up even the humblest of snack times. |

tasty but too sugary
I only buy these once in a while as they have too much sugar. Shame as Im sure they would be just as tasty with half the sugar
Mackerel massacre
I enjoy tinned fish and have tried many even bringing back many from France. This is a tin of sauce, so overpowering that it removes the taste of mackerel. You just as well eat a jar of sauce.
Incredibly Small, Incredibly Expensive
This product is tasty and appetising and would get five stars but for the fact that mackerel is such a cheap fish. John West are taking us for fools, giving us such miniscule quantities of product for such an incredibly high price. If you like mackerel on toast, this tin is barely enough for one small slice. I think cost-wise they are mistaking this product for caviar. If you're not short of a bob or two, then this will suit you perfectly. Otherwise, take out a mortgage and enjoy it that way. Kerching!!
Too sweet
I like this fish but like 80% of food on the market there is too much sugar. Sooner or later the masses will realize foods are engineered to keep them coming back for more and make them addicted. Come on John West....reduce the sugar please!!
The Champion
My personal champion of this range of products. It has a really nice BBQ sweetness to it, which complements the fish and anything else I add it to superbly well. A genuine winner, a genuine champion, my genuine favourite. THANK YOU JOHN WEST!
Too sweet!
Too much sweet, sickly sauce!
