best steak pie ever. well done to the chef. my husband has got me to stock the freezer with them
These pies really look the part and I had high hopes. They are not cheap and I was really surprised at the sheer lack of taste. A real shame.
very good pie, cooked well, nice pastry, there was enough meat and the meat was good quality, maybe a little dry like some have mentioned but i have gravy on top so it was just perfect in my opinion - much better than most pub pies
It's not easy to find good mainstream pies but this is one of the better ones. I've now tried two of the Jon Thorner range & am happy with both. Good firm pastry that keeps it's shape. Some "& Ale" pies can be too strong & all you taste is ale but this is just meat & gravy. Could do with a touch more filling but which pie couldn't?
Awful dry and lacking flavour
The dryest pie ever, not a drop of gravy in sight. Pastry thick, steak slightly chewy. For £3.89 this was a total waste of money. Will stick to making my own !
best little pie Ive tasted
This pie was gorgeous. Pastry was melt in the mouth and not a bit greasy. Meat was flavoursome and tender. Rich gravy. Fab-by
