Preparation and Usage
As tempting as it may be, do not eat the raw dough.
This product requires cooking.
Get hands on
For beautifully flaky layers and to avoid cracks, remove from the fridge 10 minutes before unrolling.
1. Pre-Heat your oven to 220°C / 200°C (fan) / Gas Mark 7 and begin to prepare your other ingredients.
2. When you're ready, remove the dough from the packaging, unroll, and place it on top of your pie filling.
3. Trim any pastry edges for a neat finish, then place in the centre of the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until golden. For heavier fillings or a different oven type, it might need a little extra time.
Top tip
Using as a pie topper? We recommend using a 26cm round dish and cutting 3 small slits in the centre of the pastry to help the steam escape.
Top Tip
Using as a tart base? We reccomend using a 24cm round dish and blind baking before filling, to help prevent a soggy bottom.
Small black spots may be present in the pastry. This is bran which is naturally occurring within the flour and will disappear during cooking.
