Preparation and Usage
Let your pastry temper to room temperature.
For best results, take the pastry out of the fridge approximately 10 minutes before you are ready to use it, as it will be easier to work with.
Do Not Use A Rolling Pin
If you roll the puff pastry sheet, you will compress the carefully constructed layers and your puff pastry won't rise as much. If you need to stretch the pastry sheet, do it gently with your hands.
Use Up Your Leftovers
Off cuts are great for making tasty cheese straws.
1. Take out of the fridge and remove from the carton approximately 10 minutes before use. For best results use immediately.
2. Remove from plastic wrap and unroll the pastry sheet.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (200°C for fan assisted ovens)/Gas Mark 7, or at the temperature required in your recipe.

Recipes
1 x 320g Jus-Rol Puff Pastry Sheet
350g pork sausage meat
1 small apple, cored and chopped
1 small red onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp sage chopped
2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
1 egg beaten
Method
1 Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C in a fan oven)/Gas mark 7.
2 Mix the sausage meat, apple, onion and sage together in a bowl. Stir until well mixed.
3 Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut in half down the long side. Place one of the halves of pastry with the long side at the top. Brush one half with 1 tbsp of Hoisin sauce to within 1cm of the bottom of the long side.
4 Divide the sausage meat mixture in half. Place one half of the sausage meat along the centre of the top side of the pastry in a sausage shape. Bring the top pastry edge back down over the filling and roll up firmly.
5 Brush the bottom edge with the beaten egg, seal the edge underneath the roll.
6 Cut into 4 even lengths and make 3 cuts across the top surface of each roll with a knife.
7 Place apart on the baking tray. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make another 4 sausage rolls.
8 Brush with the beaten egg and bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Standard quality
It always puffs up. Price could be better for quantity provided.
good pastry
I use a combination of the puff (top) and shortcut (bottom) pastry to make steak pie as Im too lazy to make my own but dont find pre made pies have a good enough filling to pastry ratio. Always turns out well. I use the BBC easy steak pie recipe if youre interested
Hmmmm
I'm too lazy to make my own pastry so this was a little disappointing. Not so much puff in this pastry I'm afraid. Maybe a bad batch so I'll give it another try just because of my stubborn attitude and I don't want to make my own!
great vegan pastry
Great pastry, super easy to use, very flaky with good lamination, and also vegan/does not contain lard
whats not to like!
Great pastry for making fresh apple from our garden pies, puffs and whatever hubby decides to make! Keep it in the fridge to you need it!
