Gone the way of most family favourite treats because people can't moderate themselves, thanks obesity crisis
1981 by George Orwell
The below reviewer mentions how these taste like "the food described in the book '1981' by George Orwell." I am envious of them for having read one of Orwell's undisclosed books, as I have only heard of his '1984' book. Perhaps that reviewer could lend me a copy. As for the Coco pops, they do taste a bit artificial now - as a kid they tasted very different. It's the artificial sweeteners I suppose, but they do still make the milk taste chocolatey!
I cannot believe I am actually going to say this. This cereal used to be one of my childhood favourites. Now it is one of the worst cereal, I have ever eaten, I have no idea what has happened to the recipe ,the cereal taste like the food described in the novel '1981' by George Orwell. There is no chocolate taste! Very disappointing,it is all about CORPORATE GREED( hence the change in recipe)and they think we as consumers are 'stupid'! Return the old recipe!
Most pointless reformulation ever
Disgusting since reformulation. Completely pointless as this recipe is also worse for you as it now packs MORE calories than the old version. Why?
Prefer the new recipe
Surprised myself by really liking the new recipe! Took a couple of bowls to get used to it, but it's much more chocolatey somehow and great to know there's less sugar. Amazing with banana and milk!
classic weekend treat
Hubby and daughter have this as a weekend treat. Same as always. Too sweet for me but they love them.
