The Kyoto Distillery was built in the first half of 2016: it is Japan's first - and only -dedicated gin distillery. Ki No Bi is a small-batch, artisanal gin with a very Japanese heart: it is made with the obsessive attention to detail, care and precision associated with the finest Japanese craftsmanship. We strive for perfection; by adopting the idea of kaizen, our objective is to constantly improve. We spent a lot of time perfecting our Ki No Bi recipe, both to ensure absolute harmony between the various botanicals and to make sure that our gin speaks of its home in Kyoto. Ki No Bi has a recognisably dry gin flavour but with a Japanese accent: pure, perfectly-balanced with distinctive aromas and a lingering finish of light ginger spice.

wow
Got this as a free sample from Ocado, but I will certainly be repurchasing! The best gin Ive tried yet. Rounded & sophisticated its hard to describe it, all I know is that I wont be able to go back to my usual brand now!
Nice, but not £52 nice
I was given this gin to review. It is a pleasant gin with woody herbal notes, no smokey notes, so quite fresh tasting. My husband and I couldn't drink it straight over ice, as we found it overly strong. We did enjoy it with a Fever Tree tonic and slice of lime, but really wouldn't pay £52 for it. If you have very sophisticated taste buds, and the money, it is pleasant.
you can taste how expensive it is
Got this as a free sample lovely rounded flavour as opposed to slightly sharper cheaper products
Has character
I am reviewing this as Ocado gave me a free sample to try. I usually like gin with tonic and this one tastes beautiful with tonic. I also tried it neat and then compared it with my other favoured gin brand. Initially I found it to be a little sharp (not smoky though which I don’t enjoy) but it actually has grown wonderfully on me. I quite like it neat now and love the burst of flavour. Will definitely buy again though given the cost, will keep an eye out for any drops in price.
sophistication
Thankyou Ocado for sending this beautifully packaged gin to try. I served with plenty of ice, in my opinion it is too good to ruin with tonic. lemon and slight ginger coming through a clean and extremely smooth gin. By far the best gin i have had, worth buying to treat family at christmas, and i would buy again.
Posh G&T
I was given this FOC to review by Ocado. I love an icy long Gin & Tonic to a refreshing aperitif and this was next level. I will definitely be buying it again and as it comes so nicely packed it will make a great gift.
