Please stop using; won't buy again - such a shame as it tastes good.
Organic No MSG is great. But way too salty
I am a fan of using salt for seasoning, I am not part of the low-salt or no-salt movements. However, I found this stock pot made my stock overpoweringly salty. I had to add boiled water to my stock, where I had initially added 1 stock pot per 500ml water, and I could still taste salt over the rest. The flavours of the variety of vegetables used would be very good for a stock, however they get lost when having to add a lot of water to solve the salt problem. In the past, I always chose Knorr bouillon, because I thought they achieved the best flavour balance, but then I switched to organic and no msg alternatives for my wellbeing and I never found a good flavour combination. It's good they have now an organic veg stock-pot with vegetables that are good for neutral base preparations, unlike the veg cube they have, which I found far from a neutral versatile flavour. For Italian cooks, this would be close to the neutral flavour of the Italian version of Knorr vegetable stock-pot, cube and bouillon, but very weak after adding the needed extra water which cures the salt issue. Please adjust the salt-to-veg ratio and this would be perfection!
These were great. Took slightly longer to dissolve than I thought it might but tasted great. We'd get them again.
Ok, But Don't Melt Easily
These are good, and have a nice flavour but I invariably find that they don't melt easily, even when added to hot casseroles, soup or stock. I usually find an unmelted lump somewhere, so have to dissolve them in a jug first, then add to what I'm cooking.
A very tasty addition to my chicken casserole
These are brilliant and adds some va va vroom to my gravy and soup. Im glad that the ingredients are decent and that it actually gives my dishes a lift.
