Laphroaig 10 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
Product information
Take it neat like a stalwart, or with a splash of soft water. Roll it around on your tongue. Release the pungent, earthy aroma of blue peat smoke, the sweet nuttiness of the barley, the delicate, heathery perfume of Islay's streams. Close your eyes, and imagine the waves lapping Laphroaig, "the beautiful hollow by the broad bay".

place at the mercy of the sea, wind and rain. In the corner of the island is a distillery in a special place, a “beautiful hollow by the broad bay” or, in gaelic “Laphroaig”. The Laphroaig distillery was founded here in 1815.

Smokey
Amazing smokey flavour
Smokey as a house on fire
Bought this as a treat for the Mrs as I know she likes to have something long and warm sliding down her throat. She said it reminded her of her first husband ( and there have been five ) Probably the smokey aroma as they all died in house fires! I'm pleased that I have been able to bring her back such happy memories that I cannot give her. Shame it's only 70cl as I wanted to give her a big one. I just need to keep her away from matches
Too Smokey
I ordered a shot of Laphroaig as an after-dinner drink in a restaurant a little while back, just to try it, and thought it was very good. Unfortunately, this 10-year-old tasted nothing like that. All I got from this was smokiness and a strong TCP aftertaste. I don't dislike a little smokiness but this was too extreme for me. I will stick to Talisker in the future.
Smooth and Smoky
Lovely, complex whisky with a heavy smoked flavour. Really smooth and pleasant, unlike some, which are like jet fuel.
Lovely and smooth!
I really enjoyed this drink! It isn't something I would usually buy, as it's quite expensive, however it's a lovely treat and would be a nice drink for a special occasion. I drank the drink neat, over nice, and that was my preferred way of drinking it. I also drank it neat, without ice, and that still tasted lovely. I just like my drinks on the rocks! It's quite a strong drink, what I would describe as a masculine drink. Being a woman in my thirties, I would feel a little out of place ordering this drink in a bar, however I would feel comfortable drinking it at home by myself. It would be a nice little "night cap" after working an eleven hour shift in retail. The drink is very warming, you can really feel it going down your throat! However, it's not unpleasant at all, and the flavoursome aftertaste is very long lasting. I am not good at describing flavours, it just tastes like "posh" whisky to me! I would recommend this drink. It's full of flavour and body!
Whiskey
Very charectful whiskey. Irresistible blend of flavors that are clear and easy to distinguish. Smoky flavour with a little of sweetness. Personally prefer add ice and water
