Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
£77
£110 per litreProduct information
Our master distillers select spirits from five different cask types, including ex-Bourbon barrels, 19th Century-style quarter casks and large Oloroso sherry butts. Aged anywhere from seven years to 21 years, each spirit brings its own element — and lore — to the blend. The result is the richest expression of our unforgettable peated whisky.
Sparkling gold, this rich and smoky Scotch tastes of Autumn days by the ocean with hints of ash and bitter chocolate. A long, sweet finish and spicy chili tingle make this dram utterly unparalleled. Serve neat, or over ice.

Brand
Since 1815, when the distillery was officially founded on Islay (“eye-la”), a small team of islanders have combined ancient skills, a dedication to quality and the soft, peaty water of the Kilbride Stream to create what is considered to be the most distinctive single malt in the world.
Laphroaig is an acquired taste for some, an essential taste for many and for those who embrace it, a friend for life.

Laphroaig Lore
Lore is a truly special whisky from the Laphroaig distillery. Initially, upon uncorking, you experience the heady aroma of a roaring pear fire. With the first sip, it’s deliciously smoky, with an almost herbal aftertaste. There are elements of sweet sherry and caramel in the background. A truly delicious whisky for sipping by the fire, with or without friends. This would make a lovely present for anyone who is into whiskies, or to a foodie who loves to add treasures to their bar.
Strong and enjoyable
As soon as I opened the bottle I could tell I was going to enjoy it. Smelt very peaty and the taste didn't disappoint. Wasn't as firey on the throat as other single malts I've had in the past but there was still plenty of warmth. Drank it neat with no ice In front of the TV one evening and didn't realise how strong it was until I stood up, would definitely purchase again. #freesample #hometesterclub
smooth and rich whiskey
I loved the rich and smooth taste and how premium it not only looks but taste too very authentic and great over ice with cola as a mixer I would definitely be trying again I would definitely recommend this whiskey to anyone.
Full Bodied and Diverse
I’m not an avid whiskey drinker but I do have a fondness for it. My family are Scottish and I have lots of memories of my grandad having a wee dram. I’ve not had the pleasure of drinking Laphroaig whiskies before and was excited to try this The colour is deep golden and glistens like the sunrise reflecting on the sea. It has a pleasant rich aroma of Peat smoke, ash, seaweed, sea minerals, citrus and dark chocolate It has a prominent smoky, musty woody and medicinal taste like tcp or clove. The bitter, nutty and salty chocolate works nicely as there’s a chilli bite. There’s a lovely underlying slightly citrus flavour . It’s full bodied with a short, dry flings and a long sweet aftertaste. I quite like it although as I said before it has a lot going on. If you like a Smokey whiskey that’s smooth then I recommend this.
A Great Scotch
This is a great scotch whisky. It had a really rich scent upon opening the bottle and whilst I don’t drink scotch straight, I did taste a small bit without any extras and it tasted really smooth. I tried this with diet cola and ice and it was good. However, when I had it as a ‘Scotch Sour’ (a whisky spit with scotch) it was absolutely delicious
