Product Information
Les Charmilles is a generous and authentic expression of the Cairanne appellation, one of the rising Crus of the Southern Rhône Valley. Crafted from a traditional blend dominated by Grenache, with Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan, this wine reflects the richness and diversity of Cairanne’s terroirs. It offers an intense aromatic profile with notes of ripe red and black fruits, spices, and hints of garrigue. Les Charmilles is positioned as an accessible Cru, offering excellent value and a strong Rhône identity, ideal for everyday enjoyment or convivial meals.

Brand details
The Brotte House is a family-owned and independent company founded in 1931 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape by Mr. Charles Brotte. Today, Thibault and Benoît, the 5th generation, join their parents Christine and Laurent, driven by the same desire for "doing things well" as their ancestors. Their pioneering and visionary spirit has allowed them to build recognized expertise in over 100 countries. As early as 1931, they were among the first in the region to market wines in bottles, which enabled export development from the 1950s. Built on authentic and fresh-style wines, Maison Brotte strengthens its winemaking expertise with three estates: Domaine Barville in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Grosset in Cairanne, and Château de Bord in Laudun. This represents a total of 87 hectares, in conversion to organic farming. In this spirit of sharing, a Wine Museum, covering over 500 square meters, in the heart of Châteauneuf-du- Pape, welcomes visitors from around the world to discover the wines and appellations of the Rhône Valley.

Vinification details
The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified using traditional Rhône methods. A maceration period of around three weeks allows for gentle extraction of color, structure, and aromas. The wine is then aged for 9 months using a combination of concrete tanks and large oak foudres. This ageing process preserves fruit purity while adding roundness and complexity, resulting in a well-balanced wine with smooth tannins and depth. The overall style aims to highlight the generosity of Cairanne while maintaining freshness and elegance.
