Perfectly acceptable coffee beans

I was sent these to review. These coffee beans were not as strong as I expected : the flavour intensity rating on the bag says 8/10 and I assume that a higher number means a stronger roast? But they were very acceptable and I would buy them again. Perhaps not for 'best' though.

Lovely Lavazza

I received a sample from Ocado in exchange for review. I'm a fan of Lavazza generally but my partner isn't. These make a nice enough coffee and taste fine to me, though nothing out of the ordinary. They are a little expensive but you do get a lot in the bag... I would probably stick to the cheaper coffees as standard as I think they taste similar. If I were to spend this much I might as well spend a little bit more to get that real speciality coffee experience.

Not as rich as I expected

I was sent this to review. I have a few issues with this coffee. I don't normally buy coffee that is not fair trade and struggle to find an excuse for this when there is fabulous ethical coffee out there. Secondly, the packaging was super hard to open when you have (ironically) not had your morning coffee. And thirdly, I'll give this another couple of tries but I use it in my cafetiere and to be honest, I prefer my normal coffee. The flavour was ok but not as rich as I expected. Fine enough but I wouldn't buy.

Decent beans

Decent flavour but nothing special

Was sent these by Ocado for free in exchange for a review. They made nice coffee (we use a filter machine) but nothing to write home about. Didnt really have much depth of flavour.

Strong and good value

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I was surprisingly pleased with these coffee beans. I usually use a hand grinder for whole coffee beans and then a french press to prepare coffee. I also prefer go for espresso beans in the morning to get those extra strong flavours, and this is a great option for those who also enjoy espresso and strong coffees. I almost removed 1 star because I did not always enjoy the smell as much as other coffee beans, but for the price (for 1kg!!), its a great product at fantastic value.
