Bring back the plain protein strips!

I used to buy the protein strips by themselves in the green bag every fortnight. They were great to add to meals for protein and texture and I’m gutted Ocado no longer sell them!

Healthy, tasty ready meal

I buy this as a regular ready meal and would recommend it if you like mild Indian flavours. I have a sensitivity to chilli so for me this meal is perfect but if you like your food spicy or hot, this won’t be for you. It has virtually no heat but has enough flavour to make it tasty. The chicken substitute is generous and has a good texture and flavour. Overall, when you can’t be bothered to cook, this makes a tasty meal.

Not that nice

The portion size of this product is tiny. You would need something else as a side dish to satisfy your hunger. The chicken sub was quite nice, and a good selection of veggies, but there was simply not enough. The flavours werent very bold, a slight musty curry flavour, it could do with a lot more seasoning. I wouldnt buy it again:

Freezer staple

My dad is vegan so I purchased this to keep in the freezer as a standby for an unexpected visit. That happened yesterday. He said it was far too dry and asked if we could make him a sauce. We added a little madras sauce and hey presto, he wolfed it down. We cooked it in a wok if that is helpful. He now wants me to get him a couple for his freezer. I'll be stocking up too.

Nice, just needs some sauce (coconut milk) added

Got this as a free product to review and was positively surprised. I added a small can of coconut milk and I felt this was needed, specially if eaten with naan bread/you prefer a moist curry

Tasty, but no protein pieces please

This was tasty and filling - very good value as it's on offer. Also, good fresh ingredients have been used. However, I'd prefer a few more chickpeas for protein, and cut out the artificial protein pieces. They taste a bit odd, are unessecary and spoilt it a bit.
