Bradan Rost is a Gaelic for roasted salmon. We take fresh Scottish salmon fillets, dry cure them with a salt and sugar recipe then hot smoke them using shavings from retired whisky casks. The result is a full flavoured smoked salmon with a moist, flaky texture - delicious served hot or cold.
Responsibly farmed in the cool, clear waters of Scotland's West Coast and smoked in our own smokehouse, Loch Fyne smoked salmon is renowned for its quality and depth of flavour.

The taste was okay but the fish seemed very dry compared to other Ocado providers of hot smoked salmon. It was not pleasant to eat. And I agree with others that there is an excessive amount of packaging for such a small amount of food.
4 tiny pieces
The salmon was lovely but there was hardly anything. All packaging. Very disappointing.
More packaging than product
What little fish there was had a lovely flavour and texture. Unfortunately it comes with a thick layer of skin and the packaging is excessive and wasteful and only, I assume, employed to make you think it's worth the price. It isn't.
Imagine if the HELL had a distinct taste...
If the hell had a distinct taste this would be precisely it!! Dry and salty and expensive. And what for?! AVOID.
Poor for Loch Fyne
We buy quite a few of the Loch Fyne products and have had had fillets of Bradan Rost before which have been lovely. In comparison this as other reviews have said is dry, salty with hard to separate slices and a large amount inedible skin. It’s so dry that it actually picks up moisture from other food on your plate. If you want a lovely piece of smoked salmon, go for the Loch Fyne Kinglas Fillet Of Smoked Salmon 250g.
Dry pieces that disintegrated on serving. Chewy and all rather unappealing. Expensive too. Never again.
