Product Information
Rigatoni is a traditional pasta shape associated with Rome and the regions of central and southern Italy. Its name comes from the Italian rigati, meaning “ridged”, a reference to the grooves on the surface and helps to capture the sauce.
Luigi Ugo rigatoni is crafted using Altamura semolina and enriched with golden egg, then shaped through traditional bronze dies. The bronze method creates a roughness on the rigatoni surface, resulting in a superior sauce gripping pasta with a firm, satisfying bite.

Preparation and Usage
Luigi Ugo rigatoni is designed to bring restaurant quality and flavour effortlessly into your kitchen. It's best served with chunky, hearty sauces that have real texture, such as sausage, rich beef or pork ragù. It also pairs beautifully with Luigi Ugo Cherry Tomato and Vodka Sauce. The pasta's thickness makes it well suited for baked dishes (al forno), where it delivers a satisfyingly firm bite.
