Where’s the chilli?
These are nice but disappointing if you’re expecting a chilli hit as I was. Didn’t taste of chilli at all.
Great ingredient
Ive been buying these most weeks for a med veg pitta recipe with houmous. They taste great because of the chilli marinade. Comparative to normal halloumi though they are super expensive for the amount of halloumi you get. Its less than a standard block for twice the price - if I find a marinade to make my own easy, I wouldnt buy again.
Salty beyond any need
These look tasty. They are tiny and somehow M&S get a whole gram of salt into each one. I greedily ate all four of them and was gasping for water all evening. Halloumi is already salty. This is awful seasoning.
odd
really odd. doesn't really cook properly and tastes a bit weird. like lots of M&S products: all mouth and no trousers. avoid.
Good
Did under a hot grill until a little charred on one side, didn't risk turning them over. Tasty but not as good as the herby version
Tasty
These were tasty. Not too hot and spicy though, which was good. They did fall off the sticks whilst being grilled but that didnt affect the taste! A nice meat alternative.
