Dry
Absolutely awful. Dry , tasteless , no evidence of garlic !
Was the best...
Have bought these regularly & always enjoyed them. I have recently noticed that the bread is really dry & the garlic butter is not enough....
As usual, a wrapper change means a quality drop!
As several others have said the new wrapper obviously signifies the usual accompanying drop in quality. You've done this before.. New wrapper = drop in quality, or price rise. NOTHING like as good as the old ones. Will now try Tesco ones.....or anyone else's. WHY do you do this M&S? You are losing customers/sales every time you ruin a good product! Your other favourite thing to do is to observe that we really like it, and immediately stop making it!! Vis those wonderful mushroom and spinach quiches that were around in 2020.......
just ok
Its ok bought as an alternative to the stone baked garlic bread and was a bit disappointed
Dry and doughy
The picture Ocado are still using is of the old packaging which is misleading. I was suspicious when I saw the packaging had changed but hoped that was all that had changed. Wrong! After cooking as per instructions the slices were dry, the butter had hardly soaked into the bread and the bread was very doughy. I suspect M & S have changed their supplier as this product is now so poor. Such a shame, as the old garlic bread slices were lovely and moist and really garlicky. Come on M & S, stop lowering the quality of your products, i’d rsther pay more for something that I will eat and not end up in the recycling bin 🥴
Recipe change along with packaging?
These used to be so good, but the pack I received this week has a new packaging and it seems theyve adjusted the recipe/reduced the amount of garlic butter, as theyre now not as tasty or buttery as they used to be. No doubt a way to save themselves money while still charging a massive amount, these used to be half the price only a year or so ago.
