Preparation and Usage
Makes 12
Just add water to make delicious pancakes and add sweet or savoury toppings.
1 box American Style Pancake Mix
300ml Water
30g Unsalted Butter
1. Empty the mix and water into a bowl.
2. Whisk until well-combined and free from lumps. Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.
3. Add a small knob of butter to the pan and enough batter to make a pancake approx. 12-14cm in diameter.
4. Wait until the top of the pancake begins to bubble, then turn it over and cook until both sides are golden brown and the pancake has risen.
5. Continue until all the batter is used up.

Bought this to try as the reviews were good - and it just goes to show that everyone's tastes differ. I made these last weekend, and all three on my grandson's plate went uneaten. I asked him why - and he said candidly 'they just don't taste the same, they're a bit bland'. I told him they were not our usual pancakes and he pleaded 'please don't buy them again' and turned to look up whether he could feed leftover pancakes drenched in maple syrup to the dog (yes you can for those interested). We'll stick to our usual brand - tasty and delicious - also stocked by Ocado (De Oetker).

These made gorgeous fluffy pancakes. We devoured them with maple syrup for breakfast! Would purchase again.

I believe this is made with French flour which has less gluten than British one and that probably makes this pancake really fluffy and light. I would add a little less water than on the instruction to make a little thicker pancake. Delicious!!

Whoever finalised this recipe deserves a medal. Mixes super easy with water and makes fantastic fluffy pancakes. Plus any left over mix keeps well in the fridge for a day or two.

Effortless fluffy pancakes in minutes. We love ours with fresh berries, maple syrup & sometimes a bit of whipped cream. Excellent product to have in the pantry as all you really need to add is water. Very happy to have found this!
