Very sharp tasting
This was really disappointing. I thought I was buying something special. The cheese was definitely not at its best. When I removed the seal the whole top surface and sides of the cylinder were covered in an even thin layer of mould. I scraped this off and tried the cheese. It had a very sharp taste. I felt us was a complete waste of money. I suspect this was packed months ago. I should have bought my usual plastic film wrapped cheese. I won’t be risking this again. I bought the cheddar one too. I hope that’s not the same.
broken pot
Ive bought this cheese before and know that its lovely, this was a gift for Xmas though and when I went to wrap it the lid was broken, and when I turned the pot upside down to check if the actual pot was damaged it was best before 30/12. Obviously I cant now give it to them, but Im not seeing those people until Boxing Day Seems a very short date for something sealed in a jar.
Delicious, but.......
Delicious cheese, but the pot is disapointing as the label is ceramic, so the pot cannot really be used for anything else.
King of the Cheeseboard!
We buy this every year as a treat at Christmas and it is absolutely delicious - really rich, creamy texture. We are planning to give it as part of a couple of hampers we're making this year. It really is luxurious.
