For best results, eat straight out of oven. After standing, bases may become wet due to the thickness of the fish.; Oven cook - From Chilled. Remove all packaging.
Place on preheated baking tray. To get a crispy base on these large pieces of fish, ensure the baking tray is very hot before placing on and avoid using foil.

Deeply disappointing
from the description and reviews I was expecting something really special. It looked lovely when delivered too - thick chunky cod - yum yum. But it toally failed to live up to its promise. Form the first mouthful it tasted like really low quality fish that seaside towns sell to tourists knowing they can get away with cheap fish. Despite the fish being nice and flaky, there was little to no texture and absolutely no flavour. The batter was nothing to write home about either. I have enjoyed M&S Beer Battered onion rings which are superb - this had none of that zing. I offered some batterless fish to my cats - no thank you they said, turning tail in disgust. I shant be buying these again

Very good piece of cod and lovely crispy crumb
Much as these were enjoyed by all 4 of us, because the cod was very good quality and the crumb was great too, I worked it out that it wouldn't have been much more expensive to get 2 cod and chips delivered from the chippy and I wouldn't have the cooking and dishes to deal with and there would have been more fish (and chips!)

when I opened the box the fish looked a little wet and I thought the batter would not be crispy, I need not have worried, it was perfectly crispy. The fish was tasty too, lovely and chunky, just as good as my local chippy.
