Quality deteriorated and not consistent
I used to buy the 3 for 12 fillets but tried these over many weeks for convenience when making chicken katsu curry. The quality just isn't there - which doesn't make a lot of sense as it would seem that this is essentially the same product. However, the fillets are varying sizes, are dry, or rubbery, or tasteless - or all of the above. Very poor for M & S indeed. Now I tend to go to other supermarkets for a better quality and consistency of product.
so dry and bland
Terrible, so dry and bland
Some of the fillets are fine, some not. Some are tender and tasty, and then there's always the odd one or two that have a weird rubbery texture which are horrid and inedible. As with much of M&S food these days, the quality has sadly fallen and the prices have steeply risen. I shan't buy again!
Small portions but easy to cook
These are one of my weekly staples. Very convenient to cook from frozen. But in recent months the price has gone up and the size of the chicken portions has shrunk so that they are now not much bigger than those offcuts that they call "chicken tenders". The quality of the chicken has dropped too, hence I'm no longer giving this 5 stars,
I've persevered with these in the hope that the poor quality was a temporary blip but it's not. This chicken is tough, chewy and stringy. Not good enough M&S.
Corners being cut whilst price being increased ...
These used to be a favourite item but over the past few months they have gone from being succulent tasty chicken pieces to dry stringy and full of gristle ... all the while the price has kept increasing whilst the quality has dropped off a lot
