M&S British Lamb Bone in Shoulder

Our British Lamb Bone in Shoulder is a generously sized cut with a good layer of fat and plenty of bone for deep, savoury flavour. Taken from the shoulder, it has well-worked muscle that turns beautifully tender and shreddable when cooked low and slow.


Keep the bone in to help retain moisture and develop fuller roasting juices for gravy or sauce. Score the skin, season boldly, then roast or braise until pull-apart soft.

Keep Refrigerated; Suitable for Home Freezing

Oven cook - From Chilled. Hangling raw meat safely: this product contains raw meat and must be cooked according to the cooking instructions.
Needs cooking
Remove all packaging and place joint into a roasting tray. Allow product to stand at room temperature for 30 mins before cooking. For best results, slow cook.
40 mins per 500g + 40 mins, Electric 170°C / Fan 150°C / Gas 3
- Preheat oven
- Season lamb with salt and pepper
- Cover loosely with foil
- Place on middle shelf of oven
- Remove foil for last 30 mins, baste with cooking juices and return to the oven
Or alternatively, oven cook:
Medium: 25 mins per 500g
Well done: 30 mins per 500g
Electric 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6
- Preheat oven
- Season and oil surface of meat
- Place on middle shelf of oven
- After cooking, cover lamb and leave to rest in a warm place for 10-15 mins before carving

For use by, see front of pack. Keep refrigerated 0°C to +5°C. Once opened, use immediately. Freeze by date mark shown and use within 3 months. Once defrosted (in a refrigerator) use immediately. Defrost thoroughly before use.
