Flash sale still not worth it
I was tempted by these in a flash sale. I suppose they've given me a bit of a boost as my own are so much better. These are just plastic packaged peeled and slightly parboiled potatoes with a very small pat of butter. You will not be doing any basting unless you add something of your own.
They are tasty if you add more butter
I admit I get these for convenience as blink and you miss the 1 tiny piece of butter. I always add more butter, a slug of olive oil, salt and pepper and they cook well. There really is only enough for 2 though and I often cut them in half for easier cooking. I always cook 15-20 mins longer but anyone buying m&s food knows to add longer to the cooking time. We find them tasty.
Good but they need extra cooking
These are good roasties but I find every time that they need cooking for 30 minutes longer than it says on the instructions. Then they turn out delicious and crispy!
Change of Recipe?
Haven't bought these for a while but they were on offer so I thought I'd try them again. Previously, there was no pat of butter so something has changed, and not for the better. They used to crisp up nicely but not anymore. Barely crispy and not tasty. Size varied hugely - one piece was about three times the size of the others so had to cut them to make them more equal. Very disappointing. Will buy the well known frozen brand from now on.
Not fluffy just hard
These just dont cook correctly. Stay hard, pale and far from fluffy. Tried them at least three times now as I keep forgetting they are terrible! Tried adding more oil last time and helped slightly.
