soup staple
This is so handy- delicious homemade soup made easy by avoiding all the prep- perfect
Agree re soup
A perfect soup ingredient. Added some chilli and kazam - much easier than trying to cut
Good for soup
I tried this product because I sometimes find it a bit difficult to cut through a big butternut squash, and for soup its just fine and a great freezer standby. I blitzed it using my Bamix stick blender - two full minutes at high speed - and didnt have any problem with pieces of skin as mentioned in other reviews.
Too much skin
I'm glad I read the reviews that mentioned skin left on. So before I used it, I checked and was surprised how much skin was left on and had to be removed. I bought it for convenience, i.e. open bag, cook, but the time taken to remove skin and the waste it produced defeated this.
Great for making soup
As above but do be mindful of hard outer skin that may be lurking on some chunks. Easy to remove before cooking, but if left in they tend to stay hard, even when blitzed. Otherwise a fantastic time saver!
useful and convenient
This butternut squash is so convenient and useful to have in the freezer. It always tastes good and its great for making soups, chucking in to sauces or for roasting. Would recommend!
