Foul (no pun intended)
This used to be absolutely delicious. I don't know whether the recipe has been changed, or - more likely, in my opinion - M&S are now buying cheap chicken, but it's gone so far downhill, it's practically in the Marianas Trench. The last one I had was eaten on the use-by date, so I put the nasty taint down to that, however, the one I'm eating right now was delivered this morning, and tastes the same. Essentially, the chicken has a really nasty taste to it - something I normally attribute to *extremely* cheap, barn-raised, antibiotic-fed fowl. I won't be ordering this again, ever - I would rather get a chicken doner from the cheapest kebab shop in the county. Avoid.
Dads new favourite
A quick and easy hearty meal for when I dont have time to cook from scratch. My dad loved it, plenty of tender chicken and a generous serving to boot!
Chicken hit and miss. Contains beef.
Mum used to have these and they started off ok. Then the chicken bits were few and far between. She stopped having them. Ordered another recently to try it again and find it has beef in it (suet & gelatine). I may be completely wrong but never noticed this before and wonder if the recipe has changed. Mum doesnt eat beef. Our fault for not checking more carefully, but I wouldnt normally expect a chicken dish to have beef in it. Sadly wont be buying it again unless the recipe changes.
Tough choice
Chicken wasn't very edible - hard and chewy with not good taste. Only the dumplings were passable. Better alternatives out there.
Utterly delicious
Got on a flash sale. Was very impressed. Loads of chicken. Would definitely buy again
Comfort food, could be better.
It's v rare to say this about a ready meal but.. this casserole would really benefit from less chicken & more vegetables. The gravy & dumplings are tasty but the huge lumps of shredded chicken are off putting & not very appetising.
