good
enjoyable but a little too sweet for my taste
my chopped herring of choice
This is a new product to Ocado but Ive been buying this from M&S for over a decade. It reminds me of a north Manchester shtetl when I was growing up. Recently bought some chopped herring at Panzers and my personal preference is this one. Its not everyones cup of tea, my wife doesnt like it, she prefers roll mops. It isnt chopped roll mops! Its minced herrings rather than chopped, more like a pate.
not great
Ive given this two stars as I like that M&S are trying to make traditional Jewish item a bit this isnt good. Its watery , sloppy and far too acidic. If you want an amazing chopped herring then head to Lets Fress Deli (Marc Coopers) in Manchester, and I think the M&S tasters should try it too.
Very Authentic
I used to buy chopped herrings from Panzers Delis when I lived in London. The M&S version is a very nice, not too much vinegar, not too wet or too thick.
delicious bought in a flash sale
expensive but would buy again
Not for me
I am a big fan of rollmop herrings and the M&S ones are the very best, however this product is not nice at all, its a watery mush of chopped egg with apple and herring.
