Now British Farm Assured Chicken
Very tasty. Good value.
Great Little Product.
This little tin of creamed chicken breast pieces has many uses. You can make pies by rinsing out the tin with a little milk, add seasoning and perhaps a few sautéed mushrooms or sweet corn, gently heat in a small saucepan and whilst that is going on, cook some good quality puff pastry which is cut into shapes. There you have chicken pie in minutes which is superior to those already made. It is also excellent as a filling for Vol-au-Vents etc., and with the addition of some sautéed onion and perhaps a little curry paste, it can be served on rice. A store cupboard must !
My 50 year habit.
I first bought this in the late 60s when as a student I was a Saturday girl at M&S. I still love it. It is my go to quick to prepare comfort food. Lovely with brown rice and fresh veg. I always have a couple of tins in the cupboard. ( But otherwise I dont eat any other processed food!)
Oh
Oh dear. Pretty awful, they've managed to give this chicken a texture like tinned tuna. Bizarre.
Brazilian Chicken
I can no longer buy this since noticing that the chicken is sourced from Brazil. Much lower welfare standards than the UK. What's wrong with sourcing British chicken which would also help reducing the carbon footprint. A bad move M&S.
Easy dinner
Lovely with a bit of curry powder
