Vinification details
Produced from grapes grown in the vineyards of Chianti Classico appellation, the most ancient Chianti area. The winter and early spring, relatively mild and dry, allowed for a regular budburst. The rains in the second half of spring helped create significant water reserves, which proved useful for facing a hot but stable summer with low rainfall. The cool and humid climate during May and the very beginning of June slightly delayed the vine’s vegetative cycle compared to recent years. A hot yet steady summer, without extreme heat peaks or heavy rains, was followed by a September marked by good weather and significant temperature variations between day and night, allowing for perfect phenolic ripening of the grapes and a general enhancement of the aromatic profile. The Sangiovese harvest began around the 20th of September and concluded in the second week of October. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were perfectly healthy and of excellent quality. From an organoleptic perspective, the vintage is fresh and balanced, with a good ratio between acidity and tannins, displaying ideal concentration and an excellent aromatic profile.
