Tasty but not easy to carve
I cooked in the fan oven but on the lower rack. Brushed with oil as suggested then basted using a pastry brush. I turned the temp down to 160 for last 20 mins and rested under foil. The meat was beautifully cooked. But the picture is misleading, trying to carve across as shown, I hit two large leg(?) bones, making it impossible. You can split it in two lengthways. Had enough for a main meal some for a cold lunch. Probably won't buy again.
tough. dry. not possible to baste
Avoid this meal. Tough meat. Hard to carve. Sauce immediately evaporates so not possible to baste as per instructions when fan cooking uncovered. As a result tasteless.
Very tough, quite gamey flavour (which would have been ok if it was tender), and hard to get cooking right - breast was dry, thigh was bloody. Would not buy again
