M&S El Duque De Miralta Rioja
A medium-bodied, oaked red wine with a spicy, vanilla flavour overlaying berry aromas. Made with ripe Tempranillo grapes from the Rioja region in Spain, by winemaker Cesar Fernández. This fine Crianza pairs well with lasagne, lamb and cheese. Suitable for vegans. Will cellar for up to two years.

This is a very well priced rioja with plenty of spice but a smooth finish. I’ve had to give a lower star rating though as the past year, each wine has given me the worst wine headache the next day.. even after just 1 glass! (Yes it is sometimes possible to have just a little) so not sure if their preserving process or sulfites has changed? If you’re after a great tasting bottle, get one.. just have some paracetamols to hand, just incase!

So easy to drink. Not too heavy, not to fruity or sweet. Mellow and smooth and mild and def a fave
