Actual light roast

Like the other reviewer said this is an actual light roast, as good as the more expensive niche brands, as good as union. Great flavour for pour over.

very poor packaging

These have been my favourite coffee beans, however the last three bags were received split open and the beans stale, new packaging clearly not up to withstanding Ocados transportation. Come on M&S, completely fed up with you mucking about with the quality probably over profit. Wont be buying again!!!

Delicious medium roast

Finally, a medium roast you can buy at a supermarket that is actually a medium roast, and not just "a bit less burnt than our dark roast"

Good everyday coffee

Mild flavour medium roast coffee, with balanced fruit and nut flavours to produce a reliably a good filter coffee.

Best supermarket beans I\x27ve had

Way better than other supermarket-brand beans, and not much more expensive: excellent value for money! Nice fruity acidic notes, which you don't get from most of the over-dark roasts on the shelves. Good as a strong filter coffee, but also robust enough for a moka pot.

Not my cup of coffee

These were sent to me as a substitute. I wouldn't have chosen them myself, I prefer a darker roast. The "tones of citrus" they describe manifest as an acidic edge that kept making me think the milk was off.
