Fetească Albă, meaning “White Maiden” is one of the oldest grape varieties grown in Romania, older than the country itself, producing an incredibly aromatic wine, with floral and apricot notes.

Style - Light, unoaked, refreshing, dry white wine

This ancient indigenous grape, Fetească Albă, existed before Romania was born and in the hands of the renowned Cramele Recas Winery, its fortunes have been revived. Sourced from Vrancea in the east, it is a vivid, yet gentle grape, whose name means White Maiden. It is the perfect versatile food wine; winemaker Elena Alejos pairs it with locally caught carp fillet in tomato sauce.
