M&S Found Palomino

Grown from dry farmed, old bush vines on the Piekenierskloof plateau, the Palomino grape was originally planted for brandy production. Today these rare old vines yield tiny quantities that produce mighty wines.

Style - Dry, unoaked, flavoursome, white wine
Taste - Floral, stone fruit, citrus tang, flinty finish

Palomino has a long winemaking history in South Africa, the original plantings with Spanish vines, were recorded in the 1920s. The rediscovery of old vineyards, particularly in the Piekenierskloof region, revealed delicious wines made from these gnarled old bushes.
