disappointing
Usually a butternut squash lasts ages, unfortunately this one went rotten in a week. Very disappointing.
Beautiful squash
Great flavour for all manner of meals. Sweet and nutty and packed with goodness. There are cheaper squashes but this always has an extra depth of flavour. love it.
Great colour and flavour
I buy this on a regular basis and its always a lovely golden colour and tastes delicious . I roast it in cubes , its easier to cut up if left a week or so after purchase , use it in curry or as a vegetable with meals . Worth the extra cost to an ordinary squash
Wonderful
Having lived in Africa most of my life, butternut squash is a must have veg in our house. This is a wonderful bright orange, full of flavour, easy peel & incredibly tasty butternut. Used as a savoury veg & as pumpkin fritters as a sweet treat . Very versatile
Delicious fresh squash
Recommend this variety, made a beautiful autumnal risotto
Sweet and delicious
Some butternut squash can be a little bitter if they experience environmental stress whilst growing but these have always been sweet and delicious. Its so versatile and can be used in so many different ways, slowly roasted brings out even more sweetness and it makes gorgeous squash, apple and ginger soup. We use it in many different dishes, its particularly delicious when used in a red lentil Dahl or as a mash on cottage pie instead of potatoes. I like the Ocado roasting squash as well but this is sweeter and so delicious even when roasted without spices etc.
