Cooking guidelines
Oven cook - From Chilled. Handling Raw Meat Safely: this product contains raw meat and must be cooked according to the cooking instructions.
30 mins + 90 mins
Electric 240°C, Fan 220°C, Gas 9
Needs cooking
- Remove all packaging.
- Dry the rind with paper towel.
- Rub 1 tablespoon of salt on the rind thoroughly & leave for 30 mins at room temperature.
- Pat the joint dry & add 1 teaspoon salt into the rind thoroughly.
- Place the joint on a sheet of foil on a baking tray.
- Place in the centre of the oven and cook for 30 mins.
Electric 180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4
- Reduce the oven temperature & cook for a further 90 mins.
- Remove from the oven and rest for 10 mins before carving.
Serving
- Carve the joint through the crackling scores.
- Check product is piping hot and thoroughly cooked.
