Preparation and Usage
Handling Raw Meat Safely: This product contains raw meat and must be cooked according to the cooking instructions.
Electric 180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4, 3 hours
Slow cook for pulled pork: Remove from fridge 30 mins before cooking.
Remove all packaging. Preheat oven. Remove string from joint then thoroughly wash hands and utensils. Place in a deep ovenproof dish with 300ml water and cover dish with foil. Rest for 15 mins before discarding rind. Shred the joint using 2 forks.
For roast pork: Remove from fridge 30 mins before cooking.
Remove all packaging. Preheat oven. Dry rind with paper towel, rub salt into the rind and leave for 10 mins. Remove salt and moisture with paper towel, then rub oil and salt into rind. Place in a roasting tin and into oven.
Cook for 30 mins.
Electric 240°C, Fan 220°C, Gas 9
Reduce oven temperature and cook for a further 30 mins per 500g.
Electric 180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4
Rest for 15 mins before carving.
Do not reheat.
