Carving
To ensure your chicken looks as good as it tastes, here are some luseful tips on carving. All you need is a sharp knife and a carving fork to hold the bird safely in position.
1. Lift one end of the drumstick and use it to pull the whole leg away from the body, then cut through the joint between the thigh and the body.
2. Turn the chicken so the neck is facing you. Slice the breast meat evenly, carving into long slices parallel with the breast bone.
3. Hold leg by end of drumstick, slice through joint to separate drumstick and thigh.
4. Drumstick meat can be carved off lin a vertical direction.
5. Using carving fork hold thigh in place and carve meat either side of the bone. Keep the juices in the foil tray for gravy making.

Handling raw meat safely: This product contains raw meat and must be cooked according to the cooking instructions.
Electric 200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas 6, 40 mins per kg + 30 mins
Needs cooking
Preheat oven. Remove outer packaging, place sauce sachet to one side. Cover in foil. Place foil tray with chicken onto a baking tray, and place onto middle shelf of oven. Refer to cook time on front of pack label. After 45 mins remove from oven, remove foil and baste. Return to oven without the foil and baste chicken frequently during cooking. Drizzle the sauce sachet over the chicken 2-3 mins before the end of cooking. Remove from oven and leave to stand for 15-20 mins before carving. Ensure juices run clear and product is piping hot throughout before serving.
Do not reheat.
