Preparation and Usage
Growing Instructions
Flowers in winter/early spring.
For best results start to grow immediately after purchase.
For best performance: Pour water into vase and place the hyacinth bulb on top, pointed side up. The roots of the bulb need to be in water, but the bulb itself should not be wet.
Place the vase in a cool, dark and airy place (less than 10°C - such as a shed or garage) for about 8-12 weeks or until the shoot is 4cm.
It is very important for the bulb to be in this cold condition for root & flower development.
Check water weekly. Do not allow to dry out at any time. At this stage move indoors to a light position at normal room temperature. Flowering should begin within 10-14 days. Turn occasionally as the flower will grow towards the light.
