Cake is good, Ocado packing is bad
Lovely moist Madeira cake as expected however Ocado had packed it on it's side, it was detached from its cake board and was flat along one side (the recipient remarked on it). I object to paying so much money to receive a damaged celebration cake. Please sort the packing out - all birthday/celebration cakes should be kept flat!
Sub standard cake - avoid
Royal icing far too thick, jam and buttercream layer was more of a smear, Madeira cake was dry. No redeeming features what so ever. Nothing nostalgic about this cake.
Great cake to decorate
This cake is 22cm diameter. The pack says serves 16. I think this is about right. 12 slices would be safer I think. We made a great flamingo cake using shimmery pink lustre on the fondant. It was fantastic. The cake itself was good. We served it with raspberries.
Size please!
Echoing another customer... would be really helpful to know physical size for ordering decorations.
Diameter of cake?
The product information does not include the size of cake which I need before purchase (to order an edible icing cake topper to finish decorating).
Great cake
Ran out of time and energy so ordered this last minute. Absolutely delicious, and perfect to put your own cake topper or little toys/figures on top personalise. Would definitely buy again!
