Makes 10-12 Cupcakes
Top your cakes with a beautiful buttercream finish.
100g Unsalted butter
200g Icing sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tbsp Whole milk
1. Bring your butter to room temperature so that it is softened.
2. Using either a hand or electric mixer beat together the butter adding in the icing sugar gradually until fully incorporated.
3. Add in the milk and vanilla and continue to beat until the butter cream is light and fluffy. This might take a few minutes, the longer that you beat your buttercream, the lighter in texture it will be.
4. Once the buttercream is ready, fill a piping bag fitted with a nozzle with the buttercream to pipe decorations on your cupcakes or alternatively, use a pallet knife to smooth your buttercream inside or over your cake.

Cheaper in Store
Fed up with seeing the products in M&S Store cheaper. This is yet another one. In my store this is £1.70 and here is currently £1.85. Not aware of any other supermarket that charges more to have products delivered and it flies in the face of M&S supposedly ethical standards. If I want to pay more for groceries Ill go to my local motorway service station.
No lumps
I find T&L is hard with lumps that wont go through the sieve. This is much better, fine and sieves easily.
Great icing sugar
I prefer this to the well known brands. Have had great success with decorating cakes with buttercream icing while using this icing sugar. Would recommend
A box instead of a bag!
Of course it's better to put it in a box! Why have I always had bags before? Of course you still end up aspirating it for an hour after you pour it out but still.
